GDITC 2011

Wow, it's come and gone already. All the preparation and organisation to get away and we are already back home. Wish it had been a longer time there.
Kerry of Cottage on the Hill at Nundle (NSW) organised the fourth Girls Day in the Country. It was my second. Kerry and her helpers did a magnificent job. Anni Downs was the guest tutor again and it was wonderful to see her and the projects she designed for this year's event.
This year we stayed at the caravan park in one of their comfortable cabins. The above is the view from the verandah.

One of the highlights of the weekend is meeting other bloggers (photo of larger group). They come from far and wide - Narromine to Newcastle, Tabulam to Scone. There were also 5 ladies from Queensland. The photo of the smaller group is our table with Anni and Kerry.
Hello to Sandy, Christine, Gail, Jenny, Patricia, Alison and Lynda. It was lovely to meet you and share the muffins and tart.

A swap was organised again this year. It had to be one of Anni's designs and small about 6" by 6" or similar. This is the collection of gifts after we had opened them.

I'll be back soon with more photos. One of my joys was having a picture taken with Anni and my Gardener's Journal quilt, but more on that next.

Take care everyone,
Kayly
